ETRAVO Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 17, 2026

ETRAVO provides employee transport management services through the ETRAVO mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how ETRAVO collects, uses, stores, and shares information when employees, drivers, transport administrators, vendors, and other authorized users access the app.

This policy applies to the ETRAVO mobile application, related backend services, and operational workflows used to manage employee transport.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

A. Account and profile information

  • Name
  • Mobile number
  • Email address, where applicable
  • Employee, driver, vendor, or administrator role information
  • Company affiliation
  • Profile photo or avatar, if uploaded

B. Driver and compliance information

For driver accounts, we may collect and store additional information needed for transport operations and compliance, including:

  • Driver profile details
  • Vehicle details
  • License and document information
  • Insurance-related information
  • Driver-uploaded photos or documents

C. Trip and transport information

  • Trip assignments
  • Pickup and drop details
  • Route, shift, and transport scheduling information
  • Trip status updates such as assigned, arrived, confirmed, boarded, dropped, and no-show
  • OTPs used for pickup or drop verification
  • Ratings, complaints, and trip-related feedback

D. Location information

We collect location information to operate transport features.

  • Foreground location may be used to capture current pickup, drop, or SOS coordinates.
  • Background location may be collected for driver accounts only while an active trip is in progress.
  • Driver live location may be shared with assigned employees and operations teams during active trips.
  • Tracking is intended to stop when the active trip ends.

E. Device and technical information

  • App version
  • Device type
  • Operating system information
  • Diagnostic and error data
  • Session and authentication metadata

F. Communications and support information

  • OTP delivery and verification events
  • Support requests
  • Complaint submissions
  • SOS and safety alert information

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • authenticate users and manage access
  • create and manage transport requests and trip assignments
  • enable driver and employee trip workflows
  • verify pickup and drop events using OTP
  • show live trip progress and driver location during active trips
  • support safety features such as SOS alerts
  • manage driver profiles, compliance records, and transport operations
  • improve app performance, reliability, and security
  • investigate incidents, fraud, abuse, or operational disputes
  • comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, and workplace obligations

3. Background Location for Drivers

ETRAVO may collect background location for driver accounts only when required for active trip tracking.

Background location is used to:

  • share live trip progress with assigned employees
  • support transport operations visibility
  • improve safety and incident response

ETRAVO does not intend to use driver background location for unrelated advertising purposes. Driver location tracking is intended to operate only while the driver is assigned to an active trip and to stop when that trip ends.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • the employer or organization using ETRAVO
  • authorized transport administrators and dispatch personnel
  • assigned drivers and employees participating in the same trip
  • approved vendors or fleet operators supporting transport operations
  • service providers that help us operate the platform, such as cloud hosting, databases, mapping, communications, OTP, and analytics providers
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other authorities when required by law or to protect safety, rights, or property

We do not sell personal information.

5. OTP and Verification Data

ETRAVO may generate and store trip-related OTPs for pickup and drop verification. These OTPs may be:

  • shown in the employee app
  • entered by a driver for verification
  • sent through integrated OTP or communication providers, where configured

OTP data is used only for trip verification, access control, security, and fraud prevention.

6. Maps, Communications, and Service Providers

ETRAVO may use third-party services to operate app features, including:

  • mapping and geolocation services
  • cloud infrastructure and database services
  • OTP or communication providers
  • crash, logging, or diagnostic tooling

These providers may process limited information as needed to deliver their services on our behalf.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide transport services
  • maintain operational and safety records
  • comply with legal, regulatory, tax, contractual, or audit requirements
  • resolve disputes and enforce our terms

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the organization using ETRAVO.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your role, location, and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access certain personal information
  • correct inaccurate information
  • request deletion of certain information
  • withdraw permissions, including device location permissions, subject to feature limitations
  • raise complaints through your employer, administrator, or an ETRAVO contact channel

Please note that disabling location permissions may prevent certain app features from working, including live trip tracking, pickup/drop capture, and SOS functions.

10. Children

ETRAVO is intended for workplace and transport operations use and is not directed to children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, through your organization, or through other appropriate channels.
